EPTRI conducted an ITEC training programme on Climate Change and Sustainable Development from10th to 22nd December 2018.  The programme was attended by 22 participants from 22 ITEC partner countries. The training programme addressed the following issues-

  • Introduction to climate change and basics of climate system, climate variability
  • Climate change and water sector impacts and adaptation
  • Climate change impacts on agriculture sector, sustainable agriculture for climate adaptation
  • Development and piloting a unified framework for scaling up of climate smart agriculture
  • India’s INDCs, NAPCC & SAPCC, Initiatives by Govt of Telangana
  • Energy conservation act in India, PAT Scheme
  • Science of climate change, modelling of climate change for developing countries
  • Climate change impacts and vulnerability assessment
  • Carbon monitoring and modelling in forestry and agriculture projects
  • Make it your business: engaging with Sustainable Development Goals
  • Building codes and rating system for green and sustainable development in India
  • Economics of climate change
  • Climate finance
  • Disaster management and risk reduction in the context of climate change
  • Managing climate induced risks and opportunities in African agriculture
