EPTRI received many accrediations and recognitions from national and international organisations. Owing to the avilability of integrated facilities and services at its disposal, it provides training, applied research, technical support, capacity building and extends advocacy & consultancy in the area of environment protection to industries, regulatory bodies, government organizations and NGOs.
- EPTRI is an autonomous institution - registered as a Society
- Governed by a Board of Governors comprising of Central and State Government functionaries, industrial organizations, NGOs and specialists
- Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh is the Chairman of the Board of Governors.
- Director General is the Chief Executive. Presently the Director General is Ex-officio Special Chief Secretary, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Environment, Forrest, Science and Technology Department.
EPTRI is recognized by the respective authorities as:
- Centre for Climate Change
- Nodal agency for Clean Development Mechanism
- Centre of Excellence in Spatial Environmental Planning
- Partner in Green Business Centre by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)
- International Training Organisation under the Colombo Plan by the Ministry of Finance, GoI
- National Host Institute for preparing of State of Environment Reports by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, GoI.
- Premier Institute for preparation of Environment Impact Assessments.
EPTRI Laboratory has received recognitions and accreditations by
- National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), New Delhi as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO)
- Central Pollution Controle Board (CPCB) and Ministry of Environment and Forests, GoI.
EPTRI serves as a one-stop shop for comprehensive solutions to environmental issues and offers a wide range of services - laboratory analysis to environment management and an interface between regulation and community participation in preserving and conserving the environment.
